Initial Post

I will be using this blog to share my experience with the Velocity Diet - a semi-insane diet I plan to start in just a couple of weeks from today!

The Velocity Diet is basically an all liquid, low-calorie, low-carbohydrate, medium-fat, high-protein diet that lasts for 28 days. One healthy “cheat” meal is allowed (and encouraged) per week.

The diet seems to produce rapid fat loss while sparing muscle. Also, many claim the diet "resets" their cravings for junk and that they transition off the diet with a renewed appreciation for healthy foods.

Adherence to the diet requires the use of supplements (fish-oil, thermogenics, protein shakes, flax seeds) as well as complimentary and fairly intense strength training.

Read Chris Shugart’s original Velocity Diet for details.

Chris made some modifications from the original in The Velocity Diet, Part II.
